I went from 0 to 450,000 followers from May 1st, 2023 to December 1st, 2024.
1 year & 7 months to go from completely unknown to where I am today.
I often ask myself "How would I start all over again?"
So I did it again. I started from scratch.
Twice.
I took over 2 new accounts:
1 - Anisha Jain, my first employee, has now 21,000+ followers.
2 - Axelle Malek, my second employee, has nearly 20,000 followers.
They both started on May 19th, roughly 6 months ago, to go from 0 to 20,000 followers.
Today, I'll share my entire playbook. 3 steps.
Anyone following it strictly can expect the exact same results. But most won't.
Step 1: Why
What's the reason that pushes you to want a community?
"More followers" - "More clients" - "More money"
That's the wrong way to answer. Because you're talking about the outcomes you want.
An outcome is a byproduct of building a community. This can't be the starting point.
You must have a mission.
And no - a mission isn't something you "fake" to inspire others to somehow follow you "on a whimsical journey".
A mission is much simpler. Mine is a one-liner:
"How to be a better content creator in the AI era."
I want to share my voice to the world. I want others to do it too. And I think AI will help us - a whole lot.
That's it. I'll do my best to be on top of this very topic. And make sure others can do it too.
Justin Welsh's one-liner is "How to make your first dollar online." That's it.
Anisha Jain's one-liner is "How to write your first post on Linkedin today." That's it.
Axelle Malek's one-liner is "Stay on top of AI news, once a day." That's it.
They never change. They never share things outside of this one-liner because "they feel like it".
Think about it like a TV show. If you're watching football, it's football. Not basketball.
Your audience expects football. Give them football. And make sure the football experience is better & better over time.
I made a new free GPT to help you find out your why.
Go to → https://chatgpt.com/g/g-67530e1fbcbc819186a9cae1fc734cfe-mission-gpt
A "why" isn't a thing to brag. A why isn't a direction to thrive for.
A why must be present in 100% of your posts. Not 50% Not 80%. 100%.
If your next post does not fit into your mission, don't bother sharing it.
"But what if I enjoy talking about the US election?"
"But what if Logan Paul & Mike Tyson had a great fight?"
"But what if I think my opinion must be heard at all times, always?"
It's not about you. It's about how useful you are to your audience, to solve that one mission.
Be useful to us → We will become your community → You will reach your goals.
If - and only if - you understand the importance of the why, move up to the "How".
Step 2: How
The mission is the one thing to solve. The "Why".
The "How" is simply the content strategy & the optimized profile you have to match it.
→ I wrote extensively on "How to create a content calendar".
→ I also explained "How to optimize your profile" for any Linkedin account.
Let's do it together real fast:
1 - I go to Mission-GPT to find my why. Here's the answer.

2 - I go to Calendar-GPT to create content planning. Here's the answer.

3 - Expand any topic with Topic-GPT. Here's the answer.

_____
That's a whole lot of "How". Time to jump on the "What", the content itself.
Step 3: What
Follow these steps strictly:
1 - Pick one topic answering your mission.
→ Highlight common workspace design mistakes that stifle creativity.
2 - Go to EasyGen, and paste this on the "Custom Topic" (with potentially additional information).
3 - Generate an image from the post (at the top of the caption).
Here's the result:
That's one post.
Now create 100 - then and only then you can deep dive into the data.
Stop analyzing. Start planning.
Today is day 1.
